GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro man was arrested by U.S. marshals in Texas last month in a 2015 homicide of a Greensboro woman. He was extradited to Greensboro Tuesday.
Jorge Luis Mejia, 25, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Constance Peters, according to an arrest warrant.
Mejia was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Dallas, Texas, on Feb. 26, said Susan Danielsen, police spokeswoman.
He is accused of killing the 58-year-old woman at her mobile home at 724 Creek Ridge Road Lot 35 on Oct. 8. Peters lived at the trailer by herself, Danielsen said.
