HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — A group of veterans in North Carolina is working to find the owner of a lost military ring.

According to WSPA, a silver Marine Corp graduation ring was turned into the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Hendersonville last month.

The engravings on the ring say it belonged to a November 2013 Marine Corp graduate from Platoon 1088.

“I’m sure he’s devastated that he’s lost that ring or perhaps it’s a family member of a past veteran and our goal is to definitely try to get it back,” VFW member, Avery Dolinger, told WSPA.

Katrina Spohr posted a photo of the ring on the Hedrick-Rhodes VFW Post 5206 Facebook page in hopes of finding the ring’s owner. Since she posted the photo, it has garnered nearly one million shares.

Anyone with information about the ring is asked to contact Avery Dolinger at (540) 599-6571.
