PLEASANT GARDEN, N.C. — One person was killed in a wreck this afternoon, according to Master Trooper Christopher Knox with the Highway Patrol.

Dispatchers received the call about a wreck at Hunt and Walter Wright roads in Pleasant Garden at 4:48 p.m.

The driver was traveling north on Hunt Road when the accident happened.

The driver went off the road on the right side, came back on the road and went back off the road on the right side, losing control. The vehicle hit a ditch and then ran into trees.

The driver was identified as Antavious Jamar Sinclair, 26, of Pleasant Garden.

Sinclair was not wearing a seatbelt and troopers say excess speed was the primary cause of the accident.
