GREENSBORO, N.C. — IHOP restaurants are giving away free short stacks of buttermilk pancakes Tuesday in celebration of National Pancake Day.

The chain is asking customers to leave a donation for the Children’s Miracle Network in exchange for the free pancakes.

IHOP has raised nearly $20 million in donations since 2006 when it began celebrating National Pancake Day by giving away free flapjacks.

This year’s goal is to raise $3.5 million for charity.
