Man accused of stealing more than $3k worth of crab legs from NC seafood market

RALEIGH, N.C. — A North Carolina man is accused of stealing more than $3,000 worth of crab legs from a seafood market.

The News & Observer reported that Artiss Marquette Barbour, 50, of Raleigh, has been charged with four counts each of breaking and entering and felony larceny.

The suspect allegedly stole various boxes of seafood from Capital Seafood on four different occasions this year.

The most recent theft happened Friday and involved more than $900 worth of crab legs, according to WRAL.

Authorities said the suspect worked at a different seafood seller. He was jailed under a $40,000 bail and has court planned for Friday.
