Thieves target firefighters’ vehicles at NC fire station

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- The Huntersville Fire Department has become the latest victim in a series of break-ins at area fire stations.

Thieves broke into four firefighters' personal vehicles Friday night in the Fire Station 1 parking lot.

Huntersville Fire Department officials told WSOC that they believe the incident is related to the thefts from the Charlotte fire stations earlier in the week. However, Huntersville and Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating the thefts.
