WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Wake Forest head basketball coach Danny Manning and Director of Athletics Ron Wellman announced on Friday that Devin Thomas has been suspended for two games and Cornelius Hudson has been dismissed from the team.

The suspension and dismissal stem from “violations of athletics department policy.”

“Cornelius and Devin have had lapses of judgment and hopefully they will learn from this,” Manning said. “We will continue to support them with their academic responsibilities at Wake Forest.”

Thomas is the team’s leading scorer and rebounder with 15.8 ppg and 10.2 rpg. He is the active ACC leader in career rebounds, with 1,029, and double-doubles, with 33.

Hudson is averaging 7.8 ppg and 3.3 rpg.
