CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee man was arrested Wednesday after police say he urinated in Walmart while trying to put a package of trout down his pants.

According to The Leaf-Chronicle, David Wylie, 56, was charged with shoplifting, vandalism, indecent exposure and public intoxication.

Clarksville Police were called to the Walmart, located at 2315 Madison St., around 1:30 p.m. after an employee reported that Wylie had urinated on the floor near the alcohol section all while trying to stuff the trout down his pants. The employee told officers Wylie then tried to leave the store without paying.

When officers arrived Wylie told them he did urinate on the floor and, “was not concerned because it was a misdemeanor.”

Wylie also admitted he had been consuming alcohol.

“Wylie’s statements as well as the detection of alcohol led me to believe that the offenses were likely to continue,” the officer wrote in a police report obtained by The Leaf-Chronicle.

A warrant showed that the items he attempted to steal were worth an estimated $130.

Wylie was placed in the Montgomery County Jail under a $2,000 bond.
