‘Terrible’ field during Super Bowl had Michael Oher sliding, ‘Madden glitching’ during game

The Carolina Panthers offensive line struggled to block the Denver Broncos throughout Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night and it appears the field conditions at Levi’s Stadium didn’t help any.

A Vine video posted on Wednesday shows Michael Oher “looking like a graphic glitch in Madden 94 on Sega Genesis,” as Around the NFL writer Dan Hanzus put it.

The turf at Levi’s Stadium has been a hot topic since the Super Bowl.

Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib told The Associated Press, “The footing on the field was terrible.”

However, both Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Panthers head coach Ron Rivera had good things to say about the field.

Miller said it was a “great field,” according to Hanzus, and Rivera told the AP the surface was “outstanding” and that blaming the field would be “kind of a cop out.”
