CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Fans lined up outside Bank of America Stadium on Sunday to cheer on the Carolina Panthers as they left for the Super Bowl.

The Panthers take on the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Buses started taking the team to Charlotte Douglas International Airport Sunday afternoon. This is the first time the Panthers have been to the Super Bowl since 2004.

Various videos posted to social media on Sunday showed Panthers fans cheering on their team as they left.

Also, on Friday, thousands of fans sang, cheered and danced in uptown Charlotte during a send-off pep rally that Gov. Pat McCrory even attended.
