SANTA CLARA, Calif. — You’re probably rooting for the Carolina Panthers to win the Super Bowl, but there’s a chance you may know somebody playing for the Broncos.

Joshua Bush currently plays safety and is No. 20 for the Denver Broncos.

The 26-year-old graduated from West Davidson High School in Lexington and went to college at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem.

Bush was a standout player at West Davidson. He was the 2006 Dispatch All-County Defensive Player of the Year after intercepting six passes as a senior.

Bush was drafted by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

The Panthers take on the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
