North Carolina woman shoots, kills alleged home intruder
ST. PAULS, N.C. – Authorities said a North Carolina woman shot and killed a man who broke into her home.
The Fayetteville Observer reported that the shooting happened sometime after 10 a.m. Friday at a home in Robeson County.
Deputies said the victim had left her home to run an errand. When she returned, there was a stolen Jeep parked in her driveway.
The woman entered her home with her gun and saw the suspect coming down her hallway, according to deputies.
“She looked at him, he looked at her. He had her iPad in his hand. She started shooting,” said Maj. Anthony Thompson, a spokesman for the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, according to the paper.
The names of the people involved have not been released.
