Man charged in High Point homicide from September
HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point Police have arrested a man in connection to a September homicide.
Ryne Stevens, 26, was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree arson.
The body of 37-year-old Marshall Lamont Williams was found on Sept. 20 after firefighters responded to reports of a working fire at the Fairfield Manor Apartments.
High Point Police said they found evidence at the scene linking Stevens to the crime.
In a release, police said Stevens has a history that consists of similar assaults and arson.
Stevens is being held in the Randolph County Jail for an unrelated arson.
