HERSHEY, Penn. – Several customers were recently outraged because Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups’ Christmas tree candy did not look enough like Christmas trees.

Several peanut butter fans took their outrage to social media last month, tweeting at the company.

“Does this look like a Christmas tree to you??” tweeted one person. “I feel deceived,” tweeted another, posting a photo of a blob-like Christmas tree.

Reese’s has since apologized, but now they’re also responding in a clever way on social media.

“REESE’S celebrates trees of all shapes and sizes. It’s not what it looks like, it’s what it tastes like,” Reese’s tweeted. The company is also using the hashtag #AllTreesAreBeautiful.

Reese’s tweeted one image of a family of chocolate Christmas trees sledding together.

“They look just like their father. #AllTreesAreBeautiful,” read the tweet.
