Here’s how to help tornado relief efforts in the Triad

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The second of three annual FOX8/Old Dominion Triad Holiday Concerts took place Saturday at LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem and featured Christmas music by the Winston-Salem Symphony.

There were 45,187 cans collected at the Winston-Salem concert, bringing the total number up to 502,187.

If you missed it, there is another upcoming concert in Burlington.

The Burlington concert will feature music by the Greensboro Symphony and will be held at Williams High School Auditorium on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The concerts are free with the donation of nonperishable food to the Salvation Army.

Last year, the FOX8/Old Dominion Holiday Concerts collected nearly 500,000 cans of food for needy families.

FOX8’s Tom Britt, Shelley Roupas and Chad Tucker will host the concert in Burlington.
