WARREN COUNTY, Ky. — The Warren County Sheriff’s Department pulled over quite a few drivers Thursday — but not for speeding or broken tail lights.

Deputies told WBKO that an anonymous donor had given the department $10,000 and asked them to pass out money to those who needed it most.

They decided to pass out the money by pulling over drivers and giving them $100 each.

“I was scared; I was a little nervous. I kind of had a rough week. I just found out I was sick so it’s kind of been a rough week and this has been a blessing,” said Joann Morgan, a lucky recipient.

Sergeant Curtis Hargett told WBKO that giving out the money was just as much a blessing for the deputies as it was for the people receiving it.

A total of 100 people were pulled over and given part of the donation.
