Clerk shot, injured during High Point convenience store robbery

HIGH POINT, N.C. – A clerk was shot and injured during a convenience store robbery in High Point and police are looking for the suspects.

It happened shortly after 9:45 p.m. Sunday at Tommy’s Food Mart at 117 Brentwood as two suspects allegedly entered the store and went behind the counter.

Police said the suspects attacked the clerk, shot him and then left with an unknown amount of money. The clerk has been released from the hospital, but will require further surgery, according to police.

The High Point Police Department has provided two surveillance photos of the suspect. The same store was robbed at gunpoint on Sept. 27.
