2 women charged after child tests positive for meth

PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. — Two women are accused of exposing a child to methamphetamine in Pickens County.

The Sheriff’s Office stated that it began an investigation on Nov. 10 with the assistance of the Department of Social Services into an allegation that a child under the age of 5 had been exposed to the drug.

The result of the investigation revealed that the child tested positive for meth along with his two primary caregivers, Sheena Liddy and Andrea Johnson.

Investigators said Liddy and Johnson turned themselves in on Wednesday. They are charged with unlawful neglect of a child. Both were released on $15,000 bond Thursday.
