ELON, N.C. — Charges are pending against a woman who allegedly hit two pedestrians in Elon over the weekend.

Two pedestrians were struck Sunday as they were crossing in the crosswalk on Haggard Avenue just before 8 p.m.

The first pedestrian was thrown 6-10 feet from the point of impact and the second injured her foot when the vehicle ran over it.

Neither of their injuries were life-threatening.

Officials said alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
