GREENSBORO, N.C. — A six-vehicle wreck closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 73 north of W. Gate City Boulevard at approximately 5:45 p.m. Sunday, according to the Greensboro News & Record.

A dispatcher with the N.C. Highway Patrol said five vehicles and a tractor trailer collided near mile marker 100.

The crash originally came in as a disabled vehicle report shortly after 5 p.m., a 911 dispatcher said, but within 10 minutes reports came in that it was a multi-vehicle wreck.

It’s unclear if there are any injuries involved. Greensboro police said motorists should find alternate routes of travel.

Three of three lanes were closed as of about 6:40 p.m. Traffic is expected to be cleared at about 9 p.m.
