Air France flights bound for Paris diverted to Salt Lake City, Halifax

Two Air France flights bound for Paris from the United States were diverted after anonymous threats were received after the planes took off, Air France confirmed on Twitter.

Air France Flight 065, headed from Los Angeles to Paris, was diverted to Salt Lake City, Utah, after a bomb threat was called in.

The FBI and Salt Lake City Airport police are handling the incident, KSTU repots.

Meanwhile, Air France Flight 055 headed from Washington, D.C., to Paris was diverted to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

A spokesperson for Halifax Stanfield International Airport said the plane landed safely and passengers were taken to “a secure area in the airport terminal,” CBC News reports.
