GREENSBORO, N.C. -- One person died Tuesday afternoon following a shooting near Jonesboro Scott Park in Greensboro.
Officers responded to the corner of Charlotte and Durham streets at 2:16 p.m. in reference to a discharged firearm call.
When they arrived, they found one victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim, identified by police as 34-year-old Michael Alan Douglas, was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
There is no word on what led up to the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
