BERMUDA RUN, N.C. — The Piedmont Triad will soon have a new coffee and pastry shop that doubles as an art gallery, according to the Triad Business Journal.

CORNERS coffee+art+framing is expected to open next month in a former Curves gym at 5539 U.S. 158, Suite 103, in Bermuda Run.

The coffee shop will be located next to Tanglewood Pizza Co., which the Business Journal reports is planning to open around the same time.

David Smith, a minister and former manager of the Village of Clemmons, has leased approximately 2,500 square feet for the coffee shop.

He told the Business Journal he feels the coffee shop will enhance what Tanglewood Pizza is doing and vice versa.

Smith also told the Business Journal that the coffee shop will be the only one in the general vicinity.

Much of the interior is being constructed from reclaimed wood, Smith said. He also added that there will be an outdoor seating area meant to give an “outdoor Italian cafe feel.”

The coffee shop is expected to seat about 40 people.
