Original story

GREENSBORO, N.C. — More than 3,400 Duke Energy customers in Greensboro are without power.

A vehicle hit a utility pole on Fleming Road early Thursday morning, causing power lines to fall across the roadway and knocking out power in much of the surrounding area.

Most of the outages are concentrated around Fleming Road, Bryan Boulevard and New Garden Road.

Fleming Road is still closed between Kacey Meadows and Green Meadows drives.

Drivers are being diverted onto Kacey Meadows and then back onto Fleming from Green Meadows.

Officials remind drivers to treat all traffic lights that are out as four-way stops.
