GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A Greensboro man has been charged with intentionally abusing his 5-month-old daughter and causing serious bodily harm.

Dominique Austin, 24, was arrested Wednesday, but police say the abuse happened three months ago.

The child's mother, Tila Epps, told FOX8 she was in the shower when the baby was hurt. Epps says she came back into the room and her daughter was unresponsive.

Epps says doctors later told her the 5-month-old had a broken arm, broken leg, bruising on her leg, cuts on her neck and brain damage.

"She got rushed to Moses Cone. They did a scan of her head, and said she was only 5 months so they can`t do nothing. In the test, she had blood on her brain and in the back of her eye sockets. He either shook her or dropped her," said Epps. "I want answers. Why did you do this to my child? Were you angry? Just tell me something."

Epps says her daughter is recovering.
