2 armed suspects rob, assault Burlington man in his vehicle

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A man was robbed at gunpoint in his vehicle late Tuesday night in Burlington.

The Burlington Police Department responded to the 2000 block of Morningside Drive just before 11 p.m. after receiving a report of an armed robbery.

The victim told police he was sitting in his vehicle when two men approached from each side.

Each suspect entered the victim’s vehicle from their respective side, pointed a semi-automatic gun at the man and assaulted him.

The victim received non-life-threatening injuries to the head during the incident.

According to a police report, the suspects fled the scene in a white, possibly Chevrolet, pickup truck toward Haw River on U.S. 70/North Church Street.
