GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. – A photo posted to FOX8’s Facebook page apparently showing a Northeast Guilford High School football player praying for an injured teammate has gone viral.

Colleen Michele‎ posted the photo early Saturday morning. She said it shows Northeast Guilford middle linebacker Dillon Goedeck praying for teammate Grayson Bonomo, who she said was injured.

“This is something every parent should be proud of. I don’t know who took the photo but I want to say thank you,” Michele said in her post.

The Facebook post had been shared more than 400 times and liked nearly 3,000 times as of about 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

“So glad we have kids who are not ashamed of their faith,” wrote one person in the comments.

“I am so proud to see these young men pray in public,” wrote another.

Ragsdale went on to win 48-42 against Northeast Guilford.

There is no current word on the extent of Bonomo’s reported injuries.
