HIGH POINT, N.C. – You’re not going to have it your way if you go to the Burger King on South Main in High Point today.

A fire in the kitchen venting system on Friday has forced the restaurant at 2757 South Main St. to temporarily close.

High Point firefighters were called to the restaurant just before 8 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the building roof.

Firefighters had to climb on the roof to extinguish the flames, according to officials. No injuries were reported.

A note taped to the door of the business Saturday morning said they are closed until sometime next week.

An exact reopening date and cause of the fire were not immediately available.
