Why are ‘zombies’ floating down a river in North Carolina?
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — It was morning of the living dead along the French Broad River in western North Carolina on Saturday.
WLOS reported that many dressed-up in their best zombie attire to participate in the annual Zombie Float.
The crowd is hoping to break the world record for the biggest chain of tubers at one time. That record is currently held by a Taiwan chapter of a Harley Motorcycle owner’s group.
World record aside, everyone had fun and the event supports river clean-up efforts.
