Second person arrested in Greensboro shooting death of teen
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police have arrested a second person in connection with the shooting death of a teen on Aug. 11.
Demario Jacob Danzy, 22, of Greensboro, was arrested on Tuesday morning and charged with first-degree murder.
On Friday, police arrested 21-year-old Brenda Renee Goins, who was also charged with first-degree murder.
On Aug. 11 at about 5:30 p.m., 19-year-old Jermaine Devon Hayes Jr. was found deceased outside Spencer Street Apartments.
The shooting following a dispute involving Danzy, Goins and Hayes, police said.
Both Danzy and Goins are confined in the Greensboro Jail Central without bond.
Danzy was also charged with three counts of probation violation.
