GREENSBORO, N.C. — A group of the city’s young professionals plan to kill the Trader Joe’s CEO with cool.

Along with a letter asking Dan Bane to reconsider opening a Trader Joe’s in Greensboro, synerG plans to send the specialty grocer’s chief executive officer a few goodies representing Greensboro, including a Home State Apparel T-shirt and a pint glass from Natty Greene’s Pub & Brewing Co.

“We’ve run the gamut of a lot of different cool things in Greensboro,” said Hillary Meredith, manager of the synerG young professionals, which is a part of Action Greensboro.

Time will tell whether this latest effort will be the one to finally lure Trader Joe’s, arguably the most sought-after grocer in cities across the country.
