HIGH POINT, N.C. — A fire completely destroyed an Aaron’s store in High Point early Tuesday morning.

High Point fire officials say when they arrived at the discount furniture store on South Main Street around 12:40 a.m. the building was overtaken by flames. It took more than two hours to get the fire completely out.

The building is a total loss.

There is no word on what caused the fire.

Firefighters say it appears to have started on the roof and then spread to the rest of the building. Investigators have been at the scene but won’t be able to continue their work until the sun comes up.

There were no injuries.
