Investigation underway after man found dead behind Fayetteville business

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. —  An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in Fayetteville Sunday morning.

Police said they found the victim at 9:40 a.m. behind a business in the 300 block of Ray Avenue.

The name of the victim and the cause of death have not been released.

However, a preliminary investigation showed that the man’s death was, “the result of a violent act.”

The investigation is ongoing.
