WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Erick and Tammy Carroll have some story to tell their youngest daughter about her birth, according to The Winston-Salem Journal.

Little Sadie Jane was born on the Peters Creek Parkway exit ramp from Business 40 late last Sunday night, delivered by her dad, who is a state trooper, and Winston-Salem police Sgt. David Lentz.

“We didn’t want it to happen that way but we’re so glad everything turned out OK,” Tammy said.

When Tammy’s contractions started coming closer together, the couple left their home in Germanton to make the 40-minute drive to Forsyth Medical Center.
