Silver Alert issued for woman in Chatham County

Bonnie Gay Brooks

CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered woman in Chatham County.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Bonnie Gay Brooks, 56, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Brooks is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. She has long brown hair and green eyes.

She was last seen at 2104 U.S. 64 East in Pittsboro and could be traveling to the Cary area.

Brooks could be driving a gray Hyundai Elantra with the North Carolina license plate WPN2372.
