PFAFFTOWN, N.C. -- Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies, Winston-Salem police and the Forsyth County District Attorney's Office are still trying to identify the human remains found at a Pfafftown home.

Arrest warrants of Jason Mitchell and Mary Mitchell, who live in the Brookbank Drive home, report the pair "feloniously did conceal a death of a person and failed to notify a law enforcement authority of the death and secretly buried and disposed of the dead human body, knowing or having reason to know the body or human remains are of a person that did not die of natural causes."

The warrants also report the offense took place sometime between Feb. 6 to June 26.

According to Forsyth County Register of Deeds documents, the Mitchells owned four other properties in Winston-Salem on Motor Drive, Pebblebrook Road and Heathrow Drive.

There is no word from authorities on if those properties have been searched.

Chief Deputy Brad Stanley said further charges against the couple will depend on the identity and autopsy results of the human remains.
