ASHEBORO, N.C. — An Asheboro man said he caught the biggest “catfish of his life” recently while fishing on Badin Lake.

Doug Kearns said he caught the massive “once in a lifetime” catfish earlier this month using a rod and reel.

Kearns said the fish weighed about 64 pounds. He said he caught it, weighed it, took some pictures and then let it go.

Check out the picture of the catch above, which was sent to FOX8 by one of Kearns’ friends.
