Christopher Robinson, 27, of Thomasville, was pronounced dead, and Dion Agee, 21, of Thomasville, was hospitalized with injuries, according to High Point police.

Agee was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima north of Deep River and lost control of the car near the intersection, according to police.

The car went off the right side of the road and hit two trees, causing Robinson to be ejected, according to police.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors, according to police. Police said the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
