GREENVILLE, S.C. – A South Carolina bride moved her wedding to the hospital after her father had a stroke because she wanted him to be there.

WCNC reported that Stephanie Quillen recently got married at Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital after her father Steve Ellison suffered a massive stroke, leaving him completely paralyzed on his right side.

The bride’s father attended in a wheelchair, which meant the world to the bride.

“We know he’s getting better. And we’re thrilled we’re going to be able to do it,” she said before the ceremony.

Stephanie’ twin 9-year-old sons, Cooper and Ellison, dressed in tuxedos to give the bride away, since the father couldn’t.

“We still have our faith and we believe in miracles,” said Brenda Ellison, the mother of the bride. “Everything’s going to be OK.”
