RALEIGH, N.C. – A North Carolina man who worked as a mall Santa Claus is accused of having child porn on his computer.

WRAL reported that Leander Dewey Jones, 63, of Raleigh, has been charged with 12 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The charge generally refers to downloading child pornography, but not manufacturing it. An arrest report shows the alleged activity took place in August of 2014, according to WTVD.

The suspect was arrested after a computer repair business employee found explicit images on his computer, according to reports. The employee then contacted authorities.

The alleged images involved naked girls between 6 and 10 years old in provocative positions.

A small hidden camera was also found in the bathroom of the suspect’s home, according to investigators. That’s where authorities found his “Santa Claus” business cards, where he worked at parties and events.

A profile on the Triangle Santa Buddies website listed Jones as “Santa Lee Jones” and that he joined the organization in 2014. The profile has since been removed.

The suspect was arrested over the weekend. A judge increased his bond from $600,000 to $1 million on Monday after hearing details about the case from prosecutors.
