1 suspect arrested, 2 on the run after armed robbery in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Three teens were arrested in connection to an armed robbery that happened Monday night in Burlington.

Five teens approached the victim’s vehicle on the 100 block of Jefferson Street at 10:24 p.m., according to police.

One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the victim.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot, heading west on Jefferson Street.

After an investigation, officers identified three out of the five suspects.

Arrest warrants were issued for Jameson Tyrod Beard, 17, Darius Shaquishai Jones, 17, and Edwin Earl Torain Jr., 16, for robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Jones was located and arrested, but police are still searching for Beard and Torain.
