WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Linda Duerler Finch of Winston-Salem has pleaded guilty to evasion of payment of trust fund taxes as part of an agreement with the Internal Revenue Service.

According to federal court documents filed May 12, the IRS accused Finch of attempting to evade $578,926 in trust fund recovery penalties between 2003 and 2009.

Finch faces a maximum prison term of five years, supervised release of up to three years, and a maximum fine of $250,000. She also faces the potential for an unspecified amount of restitution to victims.

A statement released Monday for Finch by a public relations group said her sentencing will take place later this year in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of N.C.
