Five people charged after two meth labs found near NC home

CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies said five people were arrested after two meth labs were found near a North Carolina home, one in a shed and the other in a vehicle’s trunk.

Jordan Olivia Newell, of Goldston; Ronald Dustin Kimrey, of Haw River; Jason Eugene Sloan, of Gulf; Jody Wayne Sloan, of Gulf and Marian Sloan, of Gulf, was arrested on Saturday.

The group faces a total of 30 felony charges after Chatham County deputies said they executed a search warrant at 20 Alton King Road in Gulf on Saturday.

Investigators said they uncovered one of the labs in a shed behind a house on and another meth lab was found inside the trunk of a vehicle.

All five suspects face various drug-related charges and have court planned for June 8. Their bonds ranged from $20,000 to $30,000.
