Burlington man arrested on drug charges

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A 51-year-old Burlington man was arrested Friday on drug charges.

Leonardo Mendez Melgarejo was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and maintaining a dwelling to keep or sell drugs, Burlington police said in a news release.

He was arrested by the Alamance County Narcotics Enforcement Team following the execution of a search warrant at a house at 812 North Ave. last Friday.

Melgarejo is in jail under a $20,000 secured bond.
