HIGH POINT, N.C. — Investigators pursuing an escaped prison inmate have located surveillance photos that place the man in High Point recently.
Surveillance photos show Timothy Hardee, 34, at a pawn shop in High Point on the morning of Friday, April 24, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.
Investigators believe Hardee may now be in the Triad area or western North Carolina and may attempt to pawn items at other pawn shops, NCDPS said.
Hardee has extensive tattoos on his arms and hands, including the word “LOCK” on the fingers of one hand and the word “DOWN” on the fingers of the other hand.
Hardee escaped from Greene Correctional Center in Maury on April 23. He is believed to have stolen a white 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup with a ladder rack from a home a short distance from the prison. The truck has not yet been located.
Anyone with information on Hardee’s whereabouts is asked to notify local law enforcement or call the Greene Correctional Center at (252) 747-3676.
