WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. — A Wisconsin woman was not feeling well when she went to the bathroom and realized what was really causing her pain.

Carolann Bauerle left work early because of stomach pains, went to the bathroom and out popped her baby.

Bauerle said she didn’t even know she was pregnant.

“It doesn’t feel real still. Like, obviously, I see my baby and everything, but it’s still shocking,” Bauerle said.

When her husband, Devin Bauerle, called for help the dispatcher asked, “Where is the baby?”

Devin Bauerle told the dispatcher the baby was stuck in the toilet.

He was able to scoop the 7 pound, 5 ounce baby from the toilet before officers arrived.

“It’s definitely crazy coming into motherhood like this. I’m not prepared at all! From going to not knowing I was pregnant to having a baby,” Carolann Bauerle said.

When it came time to pick out a name, the couple decided to honor one of the first people who arrived to help them out.

“When I went to visit her the next day, they didn’t have a name picked out. I jokingly said, ‘Jennifer Faith has worked out good for me for the last 30 years,” Officer Jennifer Gerke said. “Yesterday when I went in and checked on them, she told me she had named the baby Jordan Faith. I about cried. It was really touching.”

The new mom said she only gained about 10 pounds during the pregnancy.
