GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Star, Blue and Bubbles came to the Red Dog Farm in Greensboro as owner surrenders.

Their foster family reports that they are super sweet and love attention.

Their individual adoption fee is $250 or $200.00 if adopted with another equine.

Bubbles, 17, is very sweet and easy going. She loves attention and comes happily to you in the pasture for treats and pets. She gets along with mares and geldings and is at the bottom of the pecking order in the herd. She is easy to catch and leads well in a halter. She would make a wonderful child's pony, pet or companion. She is a been-there, done-that kind of pony - nothing seems to phase her.

Blue is registered with the American Miniature Horse Registry as Pick Pockets Blue Eyes QT and is 8 years old. She has a dominant personality but is coming along nicely with her ground manner lessons. She will now lead calmly in halter and understands how to stand quietly with a person. The folks at Red Dog Farm are beginning to work with her to become a lead line pony. She has been backed and is doing well with walking quietly with a rider. They think she will soon be a great pony for a child to love. She is a little more stand-offish with attention, but will stand nicely for brushing and petting. She has had her first bath and did just fine with being sprayed and shampooed. She has also had her first off-the-farm field trip and trailered well with a full-sized horse buddy.

Star is approximately 7 years old and is working on fully trusting people. She was the most skittish of the three when she came to the farm and had likely not been handled much. She has learned that humans are pretty great and give nice scratches and yummy treats! She has a sweet, gentle personality and beautiful mini horse conformation. She nickers every time she sees people now and will eagerly accept treats, though she requires a quiet, slow approach. She has learned to lead nicely in a halter and will stand quietly for grooming. With a little more attention, she would be a nice show pony for in-hand work. She has the looks and cute gaits too. Star gets along great with full-sized horses and would also make a suitable pet or companion pony.
