CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina man’s obituary is asking people not to vote for Hillary Clinton.

“Also, the family respectfully asks that you do not vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016. R.I.P. Grandaddy,” reads the bottom of Larry Darrell Upright’s obituary online.

Upright died Monday night at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast. The Cabarrus County native was 81.

The family has told WSOC that they believe the message was appropriate because Upright was passionate about politics his entire life.

Family members described Upright as a diehard Republican who enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family.

“We know he’s up there giggling right now. Just laughing out loud,” said son Mike Upright, referring to the obituary.

Hillary Clinton announced on Sunday that she is launching her second presidential bid. She is the former secretary of state.
