HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Interior designer Libby Langdon stopped by the FOX8 studios during her return home for High Point Furniture Market.

Langdon has built an impressive career redecorating homes for people all over the country.  She has her own line of furniture, her own lighting collection and she also has another home décor collection available at walmart.com.

She has also authored a book about small space solutions.

Langdon told FOX8’s Julie Grant gold brass is making a furniture come-back.  She says it is okay to mix gold and silver furniture inside your home.

She recommends a coat of black paint as a way to make an old piece of wooden furniture look sleek and modern.

Langdon suggests mixing and matching patterns and prints when it comes to home décor.  Langdon says the key is to keep it to three colors.  She also says wallpaper is a very hot home décor trend.

She also suggests wallpaper also be used inside the backs of bookcases to make them stand out.
