Kernersville man in critical condition after stabbing

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — A man in Kernersville  was arrested Monday in connection to a stabbing that sent another man to the hospital.

Police responded to the 400 block of Dobson Street where they found Jeremy Hawkins, 35, suffering from a stab wound to the head.

Hawkins was transported to Baptist Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Officers arrested Michael Shane Edwards, 39, in connection to the stabbing. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Edwards is being held at the Forsyth County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.
